Business Manager

Marcia Wheatley

Marcia first met Ruthi by way of a cold marketing call, when Marcia was the HR manager at Potomac Television. She never became a client, but Ruthi hung in there. After several years in which Marcia never hired anyone from her, Ruthi gave up and asked her to join RuthiPostowStaffing as the business manager in 2005.

Marcia has 20 years of professional experience as a human resources director and business manager. She is a graduate in business administration from Pennsylvanian State University and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by SHRM.

Marcia was born in the Canal Zone, Panama, where she was a third generation zonian. She is proud that her grandfathers were instrumental in the building of the Panama Canal — one operated the steam shovel.

She and her husband, Tom, live in the house of Pendragon, a mostly-black cat whose pet peeve is being disturbed by a ringing phone.

Professional affiliations:

  • Society for Human Resource Management
  • The American Legion Auxiliary, the world's largest patriotic women's organization, where she has served in several official positions including president of the department of Virginia and won multiple awards from the national organization for her work as a state chairman on various committees.
